Air dryers are critical to brake system integrity, removing moisture and contaminants from compressed air to prevent corrosion and failure. TKL delivers OEM-compliant dryers with tailored solutions and dedicated support for distributors and aftermarket partners.

The Working Principles of Air Dryer

When the compressor is working, the compressed air enters the air dryer from the air inlet. The desiccant in the cartridge will absorb moisture in the air and dry the compressed air. The filter device will remove impurities and tiny particles in the air to keep the air entering the braking system clean.

When the moisture adsorbed by the desiccant reaches a certain level, the dryer will enter the regeneration process. The exhaust valve opens, and a part of the dried compressed air flows through the drying cylinder in the opposite direction through the valve, taking out the moisture adsorbed by the desiccant and discharging it from the exhaust port, so that the desiccant can restore its drying capacity.

Guide To Install Air Dryer

The air dryer should be installed correctly in the vehicle's air system under the manufacturer's instructions. It is necessary to keep regular maintenance checks, replace the desiccant cartridge,  and check leaks and valve function, to keep air dryers operating at peak performance.
